The majority of the work in The Bosah Collection were collected individually over the course of many years. There are some series that explore different themes or subjects. These series are educational and inform…
In our collection are the Tribal Mark series in which Sade Adebowale explore in paintings the different facial marks of the people of Nigeria, the Smile series in which Joshua Rotimi Adeyemi creates images of people of all ages smiling. He also created a thirteen pieces series for The Collection titled Common Man where he uses figurative images to show the manner in which majority of Nigerians make their living. Among the other series Joshua has created for The Collection are Dance originally inspired by my young friend, dancer Fana Tesfagiorgis and Let the Music Play On. Clement Laryea aka The Art Therapist series For The Love Books showing women, men and children reading is an interesting one.
