SCULPTOR Francis Denedo
I work with all mediums of art and prefer to be seen as a FINE ARTIST, not necessarily a Sculptor, which I qualified to be.
I was born March 24, in the early seventies, the first of five children, I attended primary School in Agbor and Benin City respectively from 1976 to 1982… I attended and completed my Secondary School education (Egba Grammar School, Benin City) between 1982 and 1987 attaining my WESC…
I attained my Ordinary National Diploma (O.N.D) in Fine and Applied Arts from Auchi Polytechnic between 1988 and 1990…
I attained my Higher National Diploma (H.N.D) between 1991 and 1993.
I did my mandatory National Youth Service in 1994.
I’ve been a full-time studio artist since (but volunteered to lecture and
demonstrate at the UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS in 2014/2015).
I’ve had various group and Salon Exhibitions, with my works adorning private collections in Nigeria, Europe and America.

I see the world from the eyes of an innocent child, hoping daily for a better future because of my own offsprings hence I try every day to contribute positively and leave a good legacy for them.
I’m a voracious reader with a bias for military history, particularly concentrating on Nigeria and her past. I am a daily contributor to social media in order to carve niche and help build public opinion on various contemporary subjects as it affects the common man on the streets.
I’m a Christian, but not a “Churchian”, I walk out when pastors begin to add sentimental flavor in order to digress from the truth and spirituality.
I have a host of hobbies, ranging from Swimming, Reading, Drawing, Discussing Governance with youths, Mentoring Young Artists (something I’ve been doing since 2001) with some of my students today being PhD holders and lecturers… I love children to a fault (their innocence bring tears to eyes most times)… I also write, though I’ve don’t have any publications yet.
I’m married to Mrs Gloria Agbator Denedo, and we are blessed with Two wonderful kids… Eric jnr (11 years) and Erica jnr (9 years).
