PAINTER Appiah Ntiaw
My art is about communication and about the way we interact.
Appiah Ntiaw was born in Cape Coast,
studied at Ghanatta College of Art in 2001, Accra before embarking on the career of an artist. He has lived in Denmark enabling him to continue his artistic and technical training.

His works expresses his innermost thoughts and feelings. My art is about communication and about the way we interact. He has established Step Beyond Gallery of Art in Cape Coast Castle in which he sells not only his own works but also works of other artists. He and JICA organized T-shirt Art exhibition in Ghana 2015.
Artist Statement
As an artist and free thinker in society, I try to capture things that are going on in my mind, environment, memories, dreams, news. These are stories sometimes compelled to find a way to share what I feel on the canvas. Most of my art depicts buildings often reflecting the beauty of Cape Coast the ancient capital, where I live and with quotes, reminds us to slow down and helps us reconnect with ourselves. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual places. My art is often described as thoughtful, inspirational. I am proud that I am doing something for the world of Art.
