The Bosah Collection is a brainchild of Chukwuemeka Ben Bosah. The majority of the pieces in the collection comes from artists in the West African subregion primarily Nigeria. The main aim of the collection is to showcase the outstanding work that are produced by the artists who mostly get little or token attention.
This secure portal will feature a mix of works in The Bosah Collection as well as those by the featured artists that are available for sale and serve as a storefront for them to showcase and sell their work to a greater audience. Your patronage of their work will ensure that they have sustainable practices to think up and create awesome pieces of art.
There is no doubt that after you viewing some of the pieces on this site that you will agree that the artists produce work that rivals and sometimes surpass the quality of those of their peers in the other parts of the world. Unfortunately, the lack of exposure has meant that until now, the pieces by these supremely talented artists has failed to create waves among collectors. This site was born out of the need to redress the situation.

Initially all the works of the artists featured in this website without any prices are those on loan from The Bosah Collection to promote the work of the artists. The intention is to showcase the talented artists who can be commissioned to create new work or have other pieces by them acquired by their new patron. Over the course of time all the pieces featured on this website will be available for sale. The pieces that belong to The Bosah Collection can always be viewed on its website.

The Beginning
2010
In 2010, Chukwuemeka Bosah would release the first of the books with his primary mission being to showcase the work available from contemporary artists from the African continent. A Celebration of Modern Nigerian Art – 101 Nigerian artists would be released and featured the work of a younger generation of artists.
2017
Challenged for not featuring a lot of female artists in his first book, A Celebration of Modern Nigerian Art – 101 Nigerian artists, Chukwuemeka Bosah went to work shortly after it release and began to piece together what would morph into The Art of Nigerian Women. The book would be successfully be released in Lagos on International Women’s day in 2017.
2021
In 2021, we intend to release the long awaited book featuring the art of contemporary artists from Ghana. Featuring works of both emerging and established artists, this book that offers a comprehensive overview of living artists from tweens to octogenarians is the first such book for the country.
2020
Elizabeth Chioma Ekpetorson lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria. A 201? graduate of University of Port Harcourt, she paints with acrylic and charcoal creating expressionist pieces that employ geometrical figures.

The Bosah Gallery was created in 2020 by Chukwuemeka Ben Bosah. The primary mission of the gallery is to showcase the work of African and African diaspora artists and provide them an avenue to market their pieces and generate enough income to have sustainable practices. For the patron of these artists, the portal provides them with a secure website to browse the pieces, anonymously if they choose and make purchases that are 100% guaranteed.
